You are quite right, in the sense of correct that is.
The funny thing is that the fascists were in many ways 'left'; cetainly they were opposd to individualism, and favoured state control of industry.
Unlike many of the conventional 'left' They didn't favour state ownership, but that shows only that the fascists were cleverer than the others and realised that control does not require ownership.
I'm tempted to include a link to the politics notes on my web site, but it would be rather cheeky to do that in someone else's blog, even when the someone else is a dear friend :-)

I reckon that this is possibly the best and cleverest aphorism that you have ever opined Captain.
